These terms apply to the use of the website kumanokodohike.com. Kumano Kodo Hike is an independent guide to walking the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage routes on the Kii Peninsula in Japan, and to day trips to the three Grand Shrines of Kumano. We do not sell tours, tickets, rooms or transport ourselves.
Who sells your tour
If you book a tour through one of our links, you enter into the contract on the GetYourGuide website with GetYourGuide or with the respective tour operator. Their terms and conditions apply. They are responsible for the tour, payments, rebookings, and cancellations, not we.
Prices and availability
Prices on this website are starting prices and are for orientation only. If you convert them into another currency, we use reference rates from the European Central Bank; the result is an approximate value. Only the price and availability shown by GetYourGuide before booking are binding.
Weather, Trails and Timetables
Walking in the Kumano mountains depends on the weather and on the season. Heavy rain or a typhoon can close a trail or a road, a landslide can force a detour, buses and trains can run late or not at all, and mist can hide every view for a day. No one can promise an open path, a particular bus or a dry afternoon. Which route, transport and stops you get is set by the listing you book and by the operator, so read its details before you pay, and check the local trail notices and the forecast before you set off.
